Agentic Crypto Payments Have Surged by 500%1 in the Last Three Months, Crypto Compliance Must Become Agentic Too

NEW YORK - Thursday, 10. September 2026

Elliptic is publishing eight principles for governing agentic on-chain risk: the Elliptic Standard

(BUSINESS WIRE) -- Elliptic, the global leader in on-chain risk, today published the Elliptic Standard: eight principles for governing agentic on-chain risk.

Elliptic has been at the intersection of financial crime and on-chain finance since 2013, long enough to recognize the shift to agentic transactions as a defining inflection point in financial crime risk, and to be the first to define what governing it demands.

On-chain finance is now running at agentic speed. Machines are originating, authorizing and settling transactions at a volume no human team can review. Illicit actors are using AI to evade detection at a speed and volume that manual processes cannot track. Models built around human review were never designed for this world. They are already overwhelmed.

Three forces are driving this shift. First, autonomous agents are increasingly the counterparty on both sides of a transaction, not just people initiating activity for software to review: research from PHD and WARC2 projects agent-facilitated consumer spending will reach $3.35 trillion by 2030. Second, illicit actors are exploiting that same speed and technology, the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint3 Center recorded $893.3 million in adjusted 2025 losses tied to an identified AI nexus. Third, on-chain finance is moving into the mainstream with stablecoin transaction volumes alone reaching $33 trillion4 in 2025.

Blockchain analytics was built for a pre-agentic world. Much of the industry still runs on an investigation led and backward-looking model, unable to process a threat that arrives faster than a team can review it. That model cannot govern a system where the risk decision has to be made before a transaction settles, not after.

"We need a new approach to on-chain financial risk, built on an operating system that can execute at agentic speed," said Simone Maini, CEO of Elliptic. "A criminal only needs to be right once. Our customers need to be right every time, and that only holds if we stop bad actors at the door, not investigate them afterwards."

A decade of on-chain data remains valuable. What has to change is the redundant architecture built on top of it. Forensics-first frameworks which investigate crime after the fact don't catch risk before it becomes systemic. Real-time detection models built for speed, resilience and defensibility are what the industry needs instead.

The Elliptic Standard defines eight principles for what a defensible, regulator-credible agentic risk intelligence system has to do:

Exceptional data quality; real-time, evidenced and comprehensively attributed.

Model transparency and validation; no black boxes; every model explainable, tested and validated on an ongoing basis.

AI safety; drift, hallucination, bias, prompt injection and data poisoning named directly and accounted for.

Foundation model agnosticism; not locked to a single model, to reduce concentration risk and stay flexible enough to meet jurisdictional obligations.

Configurability; the firm stays in control of its own risk appetite, escalation logic and procedures; never a vendor's defaults.

Human oversight by design; not bolted on after the fact. Agents make compliance decisions, but the ability to define, audit and override how agents operate is built in from the start.

Business resilience; agents integrated into existing workflows deliberately, not substituted for them: a defined fallback when agents are unavailable, so the business stays in control whatever happens.

Employee training and education; deep understanding of how agentic systems work, not just how to use them: the skills to interrogate, challenge and override agents, and to own the decisions that follow.

"An agent that can act fast but can not explain why it acted is not compliant, it is just automation," Maini said. "Every agentic system has to pass the principles in the Standard, starting with our own platform, which we hold to the very highest standards."

“The question regulators are going to ask is if you can explain what it did and why, not whether you are using AI. The Elliptic Standard gets that right. Human oversight has to be built into these systems from the start, not added when something goes wrong,” said Joanna Marathakis, VP Financial Crimes Compliance, Circle.

“Agentic AI has enormous potential, and it is exciting to see Elliptic putting responsible use at the center of the conversation. The Elliptic Standard’s focus on transparency, human oversight, and accountability is a welcome contribution as the industry explores what this technology can do,” saint Todd Mcelduff, Chief Compliance Officer, CoinFlip.

The Elliptic Standard was developed with input from regulated institutions who are collaborating with Elliptic to build AI-powered capabilities. Elliptic will hold itself to the same eight principles as it builds its own agentic on-chain risk solutions, and is asking every other provider, and every company evaluating one, to do the same.

“Agentic systems are already making decisions today," Maini said. "The industry does not get to wait for a good moment to build accountability in, it has to do it now."

Radisys Launches V.AI Ecosystem to Accelerate Telecom AI Service Innovation

FRISCO, Texas - Thursday, 10. September 2026 AETOSWire

Combines turnkey applications, developer tools and leading voice and speech AI technologies from industry-leading partners, helping operators launch and monetize intelligent communications services faster

(BUSINESS WIRE)--Radisys® Corporation, a global leader in open telecom solutions, today announced the launch of its V.AI ecosystem, bringing together applications, development tools and leading voice and speech AI technologies to help telecom operators create, deploy and monetize AI-powered communication services for consumers and business subscribers.

The V.AI ecosystem, which has evolved since the launch of the Radisys Engage Digital Platform (EDP) at MWC Barcelona in 2022, draws on two decades of Radisys leadership in real-time media processing and a global footprint across live operator networks.

Seamlessly integrated with EDP, the ecosystem gives operators multiple paths to market. Operators can deploy turnkey applications, customize services for specific markets and customer segments, or create new device-independent, network-delivered experiences through V.AI Studio, Radisys’ development environment for voice and video AI services.

Charter members of the V.AI ecosystem, ElevenLabs, Hiya, ReadSpeaker, Sensory, and Speechmatics expand the range of voice and speech AI capabilities available through EDP. Radisys has combined these technologies with its telecom network, device (mobile and landline handsets, cameras, sensors and more), and media processing capabilities to deliver end-to-end AI-enhanced applications across pre-call, in-call, and post-call experiences. Applications include agentic assistants, intelligent fraud protection, call screening, personalized call clarity, live call translation, intelligent call recording, 5G New Calling, Industry 4.0 automation with video analytics, and more.

V.AI ecosystem partners bring specialized AI capabilities, including broad language support, optimized compute efficiency, and industry-leading accuracy, as well as the flexibility to deploy AI services directly within operator networks and/or in public cloud infrastructure. By running Radisys EDP and V.AI partner solutions within their own managed infrastructure, service providers can achieve cost-efficient deployment and automation while meeting their data security, privacy, and sovereignty requirements. This deployment model also minimizes latency and helps meet demanding performance SLAs.

Through the V.AI Studio, operators can customize EDP's off-the-shelf application library, with SDKs, a visual application designer, and scripting tools to create new services. Built on a cloud-native telecom platform, EDP enables secure, automated, and scalable services that meet operator requirements and provide reliable experiences for their customers.

"By combining Radisys EDP with the capabilities of our V.AI ecosystem partners, we enable service providers to achieve faster time-to-market, stronger service assurance, and unparalleled ROI,” said Al Balasco, Head of Media, Core and Applications Business, Radisys. “Through this integrated approach, operators benefit from unmatched performance and greater operational and economic value than public cloud-only alternatives, with more control over the capabilities of their applications."

Support for network APIs (GSMA CAMARA) allows AI-enhanced EDP applications to leverage network assets such as identity, location, and guaranteed quality of service levels that pure over-the-top applications can’t match. The platform also enables advanced 5G New Calling experiences today, while providing a seamless migration path to end-to-end, device-to-network IMS Data Channel support. This delivers immersive, no-app, no-download experiences on mobile devices, simplifying adoption and accelerating service innovation, while natural speech interfaces extend access to the same applications via feature phones and landlines.

In addition to the capabilities of Radisys’ V.AI ecosystem, EDP also supports integrations with public cloud-based AI speech technologies, including Azure Speech from Microsoft, Google Cloud Speech-to-Text and Cloud Text-to-Speech APIs, and the OpenAI Audio API for speech transcription and audio translation capabilities.1 2 3

Uniquely in the market, EDP applications can be distributed across the telecom cloud, network edge, and devices, including app-based and app-less experiences enabled through IMS Data Channel, allowing each service to run where it best balances infrastructure cost, performance, data governance and operational requirements.

"The communications platform-as-a-service market is on a trajectory to become a cornerstone of digital engagement. Our 2026 Programmable Communications Market Monitor & Forecast projects it will reach $35.4 billion by 2030. Because over-the-top players capture most of this value, communication service providers risk being relegated to simple connectivity providers. Radisys EDP directly addresses this strategic challenge, enabling CSPs to monetize their network infrastructure investments through application-layer services. This presents a clear path to launching competitive, high-margin digital services," said Raul Castanon-Martinez, Sr. Analyst, 451 Research from S&P Global.

Radisys has enabled AI-driven services through EDP with production deployments across North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. To learn more about Radisys’ Voice and Speech AI applications and the V.AI ecosystem, visit https://www.engagedigital.ai/.

Meet Radisys at CASA26, September 21-22 at the Tobacco Theater in Amsterdam to experience V.AI applications and learn how EDP and the V.AI ecosystem can help operators accelerate service innovation and create new sources of customer value and revenue.

PPAI Releases Landmark Study Showing Branded Merchandise Supports a $472 Billion Global Economic Footprint

IRVING, Texas - Thursday, 10. September 2026 AETOSWire Print

First-of-its-kind Oxford Economics study reveals annual spending, jobs and tax contributions

(BUSINESS WIRE)--Branded merchandise connects brands and people every day, but its impact extends well beyond the products consumers wear, use, receive or purchase. A landmark study commissioned by Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) provides the first comprehensive look at the global economic ecosystem behind branded merchandise.

Conducted by independent global advisory firm Oxford Economics, the Branded Merchandise Global Market Report measures the industry end to end, from manufacturing and decoration to distribution, retail, e-commerce, fulfillment, marketing and brand activation.

Key findings:

$338.3 billion was spent on branded merchandise globally in 2025.

The industry supported $472.3 billion in global GDP.

Branded merchandise supported 11.9 million jobs worldwide.

The sector supported $141.3 billion in global tax revenues – roughly the same as the entire Swiss federal budget.

“For years, we’ve known branded merchandise has an extraordinary ability to connect brands with people,” said Drew Holmgreen, president and CEO of PPAI. “Behind every branded item is a global network of businesses creating jobs, economic activity and value around the world.”

Measuring the Ripple Effect

A distinguishing feature of the report is its examination of the industry through three channels of economic impact (direct, indirect and induced), demonstrating how activity generated by branded merchandise extends well beyond the businesses that directly create and sell the products.

Combined, these channels produced a global GDP multiplier of 2.95, meaning that for every $1 million in GDP generated directly by the industry, an additional $1.95 million was supported elsewhere in the global economy. The findings also broaden the definition of branded merchandise beyond traditional promotional products. The study includes licensed merchandise, apparel and workwear, retail-branded goods, creator merchandise, print-on-demand and e-commerce products, recognition gifts and merchandise used in marketing, events and brand activations. What unites them is their role as tangible expressions of a brand.

About Oxford Economics

Oxford Economics is a key adviser to corporate, financial, and government decision-makers and thought leaders. Its worldwide client base now comprises over 3,000 international organizations.

GasEntec Announces New Ownership Structure, Accelerating Next Phase of Global Growth

SAN FRANCISCO - Thursday, 10. September 2026 AETOSWire

Independent LNG infrastructure and technology company expands investment in proprietary technology, modular solutions and global project development.

(BUSINESS WIRE) -- GasEntec Holdings Inc., a global LNG technology and assets company, today announced a new ownership structure designed to accelerate GasEntec’s next phase of growth and expand the commercialization of its proprietary LNG technologies and solutions.

A consortium led by the Groupe Mimran has acquired a majority stake in GasEntec Holdings Inc., the US holding company, supporting GasEntec’s global growth. Under the new structure, GasEntec Holdings is the parent company of GasEntec’s South Korean operating business. Prior shareholders have exited in full. GasEntec’s customer relationships, contracts, engineering organization and ongoing global operations remain unchanged.

GasEntec will continue to operate independently, with its technology development, engineering and operations centered in South Korea and an expanding commercial presence across global markets.

The new structure provides GasEntec with additional capital and strategic resources to build on its history of LNG innovation and project execution. GasEntec is expanding its technology portfolio, accelerating the commercialization of proprietary solutions and pursuing new infrastructure opportunities across the global LNG value chain.

Founded in South Korea in 2013, GasEntec has built a differentiated LNG technology and infrastructure platform spanning regasification, floating and onshore terminals, gas handling, cryogenic systems, and LNG logistics. Its proprietary modular technologies and end-to-end capabilities enable critical LNG infrastructure to be deployed faster, more flexibly and at scale. Building on a proven track record across geographies and asset types, GasEntec is accelerating investment in technology development and expanding into adjacent opportunities.

Arieh Mimran, Chief Investment Officer of the Groupe Mimran, serves as Chairman of GasEntec Holdings.

“This marks an important new chapter for GasEntec,” said Arieh Mimran. “GasEntec has built an exceptional foundation of LNG technology, engineering expertise and real-world project execution. The investment aims to provide the long-term capital and strategic support to help the company scale those capabilities globally. The market increasingly needs energy infrastructure that can be delivered quickly, deployed flexibly and expanded as demand grows—and that is precisely where GasEntec excels.”

GasEntec enters this next phase as an independent, well-capitalized global LNG technology and infrastructure company, focused on scaling its proprietary technologies, expanding its project portfolio and addressing growing demand for faster, more flexible energy infrastructure worldwide.

About GasEntec

GasEntec is an energy technology platform delivering fast, modular LNG infrastructure essential to meet accelerating global demand for digital infrastructure, AI expansion, flexible baseload fuels, and sovereign energy security.

Its dual-business model combines a technology business built on credentialed modular LNG intellectual property with a scalable asset platform that sells, leases, or charters integrated LNG solutions.

GasEntec’s modular floating and onshore LNG systems enable rapid, scalable deployment of downstream LNG infrastructure, providing clients with integrated solutions to distribute LNG to and within critical markets.

Founded in 2013 in South Korea, GasEntec has become a key provider of modular LNG infrastructure and equipment supporting global LNG logistics and regasification.

NIQ’s Optiq™ Goes Live in Discover, Expanding Access to Trusted Consumer Intelligence

Global beta rollout of NIQ’s Optiq Chat later this month will give more clients conversational access to explainable answers grounded in NIQ data and expertise

(BUSINESS WIRE)--NielsenIQ (NIQ), a leading consumer intelligence company, today announced that Optiq is now live within Discover, NIQ’s platform for accessing, analyzing and applying consumer and market intelligence, advancing the company’s strategy to make trusted consumer intelligence easier to access and apply.

Where Ask Arthur introduced new ways to explore and analyze NIQ data through AI within Discover, Optiq expands that experience across conversational AI, mobile access and enterprise AI integrations, giving clients greater flexibility to access and apply NIQ intelligence across the applications and workflows where they make decisions.

“AI models are becoming ubiquitous. Trusted intelligence is not,” said Irina Stoian, Chief AI Commercial Officer at NIQ. “That is why we are building the full system. Think of it like a body: harmonized NIQ data acts as the nervous system, delivering signals about the marketplace to decisioning agents that act as the brain, helping clients evaluate relevant information as they consider potential next steps. From there, we are building the hands: the connections that can bring approved recommendations into the systems where action happens. This is not AI layered onto another dashboard. It is a new intelligence system designed to move at the speed of commerce.”

One AI experience, designed around how clients work

Optiq is designed around the different ways clients access and apply intelligence, bringing NIQ data and expertise into the applications, AI environments and moments where decisions happen.

Optiq Chat is now live within Discover for eligible US clients, with the tool rolling out across the globe in the coming weeks, providing a conversational way to interact with NIQ data, enabling users to begin with a business question and explore explainable answers through natural language.
Optiq Mobile extends the experience beyond the desktop, helping users access NIQ intelligence wherever decisions are made.
Optiq Bridge is designed to bring NIQ data and business context into external AI environments, allowing users to work with NIQ intelligence within the AI tools and workflows they already use.
As powerful AI models become increasingly accessible, the quality of the intelligence behind them becomes a critical differentiator.

Optiq brings conversational AI to The Full View™, combining NIQ’s differentiated data, harmonization, commercial definitions and analytical expertise to help clients explore business questions in context and put the answers to work.

NIQ’s broader AI foundation manages more than 160 petabytes of commercial data and supports 28,000 AI models running production daily, providing the scale and domain expertise required to power trusted commercial decisions.

“Optiq is about fundamentally changing how people interact with NIQ intelligence,” said Troy Treangen, Chief AI & Product Officer at NIQ. “By combining conversational access with NIQ’s harmonized data and business context, we are moving more of the complexity behind the scenes. Clients can start with a business question, understand the basis for that answer and move more quickly toward action.”

Optiq Chat expands globally later this month

As part of the next phase of the rollout, Optiq Chat will expand to clients for a limited beta release globally later in September, with all eligible NIQ Discover clients expected to have access by the end of the month.

Clients can use natural language to explore questions across business areas such as category and brand performance, competitive dynamics, pricing and promotions. They can then investigate results with follow-up questions as new areas of inquiry emerge.

The experience is designed to reduce the complexity between a business question and the data required to answer it, helping users move more quickly from question to insight to action.

The rollout builds on NIQ’s broader AI strategy across applications, infrastructure and workflows, including the ConnectAI Charter Program, new enterprise AI integrations and the development of agentic commerce measurement. Together, these initiatives are expanding how NIQ’s proprietary data and expertise can be accessed, embedded and applied across client organizations.
