Ministry of Community Development signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MOC) with Emirates Rehabilitation & Homecare Center, a subsidiary of Emirates Healthcare Company, to support UAE families with social care and development.
The signing ceremony took place recently, where HE Sana Mohammad Suhail, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Community Development and Dr Georges Feghali, COO of Emirates Healthcare Company, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective entities.
The cooperation agreement aims at achieving the strategic objectives of the Ministry, which seeks to support the UAE families and provide social care, development and sustainable services to the beneficiary segments. As per the agreement, Emirates Rehabilitation and Homecare Center will provide medical support and home care services to the elderly across all its branches in the UAE. Additionally, Emirates Rehabilitation & Homecare Center will participate in all social activities organised for people with special needs and the elderly in cooperation with the Ministry of Community Development.
Commenting at the signing ceremony, HE Sana Mohammad Suhail said, “The Ministry's agreement with Emirates Healthcare Company is in line with our efforts to support Federal Government’s Vision 2021. We aim to provide the highest quality social services, while developing strategic alliances between federal and local government entities together with the private sector to uplift families in need. As an organisation we remain committed to empower people with special needs and the elderly of our society. While our partnership with Emirates Healthcare Company will support Emirati families to avail of the best social care and development, it also reflects our focus on developing strategies and launching national initiatives, which are in line with the directives of our wise leadership.”
As per the agreement, Emirates Healthcare Company will work closely with the Ministry of Community Development in developing integrated and holistic health services and programmes to address physical, emotional and mental needs of the elderly and disabled groups in the UAE through its Rehab and Home Care Services.
