Al Ain Residency Celebrates the International Workers’ Day

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates - Thursday, May 5th 2016 [ME NewsWire]

To mark the International Workers’ Day (also known as Labor Day), the Residency and Foreigners Affairs Department in Al Ain hosted a ceremony to honor laborers and other support workers. This celebration comes in appreciation from the department to every female and male worker, and in recognition for their diligent efforts at work.

The ceremony featured motivational speeches; appreciation certificates and gifts were distributed to workers. The department also offered an all-expense paid Umrah trip to two workers who showed excellence during their long service, in recognition of their efforts in performing the tasks assigned to them.

The International Workers’ Day celebration is an annual initiative and an occasion that the Al Ain Residency is keen to celebrate. It is a gesture that reflects gratitude towards workers who exert dedicated and loyal efforts to fulfill their duties. It also embodies the sense of social solidarity, reinforces the sense of belonging at work, and promotes human values between the department’s staff members.
