Sport360 Relaunches Website to Better Serve Sports Fans in the Gulf

New features and clean, mobile friendly layout gives much richer experience for readers.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Tuesday, February 16th 2016 [ME NewsWire]

Sport360 has relaunched its English and Arabic online platforms, with a slick, mobile-friendly design that better appeals to the modern sports fan.

Since its inception as a newspaper in 2010, Sport360 has been setting the standard in sports media in the Gulf with its delivery of news, expert analysis and information across print and digital platforms.

The new websites will continue to showcase the sort of quality coverage that has helped Sport360 become among the region’s market leaders, with cosmetic and functional changes introduced to improve user experience.

Online Managing Editor Mark Lomas said: “Sports fans are at the heart of everything we do at Sport360. We are very fortunate to be based in a region with a deep passion for sport, from the grassroots to elite level, and our aim is to be a hub for all those who love playing, watching and consuming sport here in the UAE and wider Gulf.

“Whether you want to read an opinion piece on who will win the World T20 cricket, rate Premier League teams with our Valora fan ratings, find out how to get tickets to the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, or discover which gyms in Dubai best suit your needs – we have something for all those who love sport.

“We are delighted to have the new website in place but know the digital world does not stand still so there are many other exciting projects still in the pipeline; Sport360 is always evolving and we will continue to strive to enhance the depth and quality of our content, in order to better serve our readers.”

Key changes on Sport360’s new website include the new fresh, mobile-friendly design, which ensures a consistent experience across whichever platform Sport360 is enjoyed, while several new sections have also been added including #360view for a daily dose of opinion, a Regional hub that is a one-stop shop for local stories, and dedicated Pakistan and India cricket sections to better serve fans in the Gulf.

Elsewhere, a new Events Calendar gives those in the UAE a chance to plan their sporting week, month or even year. From the Dubai Marathon and the Colour Run to the HSBC Abu Dhabi Golf Championship and the Dubai Rugby Sevens, Sport360 will let you know how you can participate and attend.

Video is at the heart of sports fans’ digital experience and Sport360 is improving its output in 2016; from interviews to analysis, fitness tips to Top Tens,  there will be more video for fans to enjoy.  And Sunday to Thursday, new video bulletin Sport360AM provides the day’s biggest stories when you wake up.

All of the cosmetic and functional changes have been made with the reader in mind and Sport360 is confident that the new English and Arabic websites will help cement the company’s place at the heart of the region’s sporting landscape.
