PARIS - Wednesday, April 13th 2016 [ME NewsWire]
(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Bertin IT brings together the activities in information system security and content processing, along with those of its current subsidiaries Vecsys (automatic speech processing) and AMI Software (strategic intelligence software). Thus, CNIM is consolidating its offering to customers in the private and public sectors and also intends to break into new markets both in France and abroad.
A publisher and integrator of software solutions, Bertin IT provides a range of solutions covering defense-in-depth of information systems and critical infrastructures and advanced processing of data whatever its form – text, image, audio, video – for digital intelligence applications such as open-source intelligence, strategic intelligence, media-monitoring and speech analytics.
The creation of an IT pure player within CNIM Group finalizes a process triggered with the purchase in 2011 of Vecsys, renowned specialist in automatic speech processing, and continued in 2015 with the acquisition of AMI Software, leading publisher of software for the collection and processing of web-based text content. These external growth opportunities added to Bertin's recognized know-how in information security and multilingual multimedia open source analysis with high-level competencies for data extraction, processing and exploitation.
"The time had come for us to make a clear statement in an extremely competitive and ever-evolving market" points out Béatrice Bacconnet, CEO of Bertin IT. "Formerly a Division of Bertin Technologies, we now constitute a legal entity of our own, with an ambition to accelerate our growth on the Cyber Security and Big Data markets. There are many challenges in our specialist fields and we will have to remain alert and be proactive in seizing every opportunity to enrich our technological offering to develop in France and abroad.”
To accelerate its growth and international development aims, Bertin IT has proceeded to several recruitments in recent months. Based in Paris area, Bertin IT already boasts a workforce of 120 in France, Morocco and the UK. Bertin IT currently represents a turnover of €15m and is aiming for growth of 20% in 2016, generated by sales in the Defense & Security and Industry sectors.
CNIM designs and builds turnkey high-tech industrial facilities and provides expertise, service and operations support in the environment, energy, defense and industrial sectors. Its 3,000 employees lead projects worldwide. 2015 revenues amounted to €727.0 million, of which exports accounted for 61.3%. CNIM is quoted on Euronext Paris.
