Colonel Hassan Ali Bin Sorm, Head of Umm Al Quwain Civil Defense Department, celebrated the graduation of 25 officers and non-commissioned officers from the department who completed the “Elevators and Escalator Systems functions” course organized by the department in collaboration with a specialized elevator company. The graduation was also attended by Major Shuaib Abdullah bin Amir, Head of Civil Protection Department.
Colonel bin Sorm said that the course aims to raise the department’s personnel efficiency in dealing with modern elevator systems and rescue procedures. It falls in line with the plan designed to support the civil defense sector in dealing with the different incidents and circumstances, and to enhance the performance of rescue personnel and boosting their readiness and technical skills.
Towards the end of the ceremony, Colonel bin Sorm distributed certificates of participation to the graduates. He also presented a certificate of thanks and appreciation to Mr. Abdulqadir Sobeih Hussein, the lecturer of the course.
