Under the patronage of General HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Police College graduation ceremony will be held tomorrow (Monday) morning at the Police College Headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The ceremony will celebrate the graduation of the 26th batch of male cadet officers, the 26th batch of university graduates, and the 10th batch of female university graduates.
Colonel Waleed Al Shamesi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Police College, said in a press conference that the number of male and female graduates was 223. 161 were male cadets, 60 were male university students, and 2 were female university students. He also explained that 12 of the male cadets were from 7 other Arab countries; one student from Kuwait, two from Qatar; two from Bahrain, two from Jordan, two from Yemen, two from Palestine, and one from the Comoros Islands.
He also said, “Since its inception in 1985, the Police College has sought diligently to graduate national students competent in legal and policing disciplines and various fields of police work, to provide the different police authorities, bodies, departments and police service centers with skilled and highly qualified personnel to serve society as necessary to maintain social stability.” He also noted that the Police College has realized great achievements. He expressed his pride in hosting the graduation of this new cohort of police officers who wish to serve the country, armed with a plethora of knowledge and training, who pledge to shoulder the various responsibilities of police work to promote the stability and security of society.
Colonel Al Shamesi pointed out that the Police College has achieved a prestigious leading position amongst its peers in the region in various training, academic and administrative fields, thanks to the higher leadership’s unwavering support. He reiterated the commitment to review and develop the evaluation standards regularly in order to keep up with the latest changes in the academic and training fields.
Colonel Al Shamesi explained that the college offers distinguished academic and training systems based on practical applications in order to graduate police officers capable of fulfilling different security situations with high-level skills and professionalism. “The academic program at the Police College begins with a preparatory semester followed by eight semesters over the course of four and a half years. It includes military, police and professional training. Upon completing these studies, students will be granted a bachelor degree in police sciences and criminal justice,” he said.
Colonel Al Shamesi expressed his gratitude and thanks to Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, for his continuous support, generous care, directives and follow-up with all aspects that enhance the level of the Police College.
He also expressed his gratitude for the faculty, training staff, officers, noncommissioned officers, and personnel for their devoted efforts to prepare and graduate this batch.

The graduates of the 26th batch of male cadets, the 26th batch of university graduates and the 10th batch of female university graduates expressed their thanks, appreciation, loyalty and gratitude to HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and to General HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for their attention and care for the police and security apparatus in the state.
